Nice one.👍
How the hell.............. I have small hands and even I can't grab that bulb.
I couldn't believe this so I went and had a look. I actually managed to get my hand in and loosen the indicator housing but there wasn't room to rotate the bulb out. So I wriggled it back in, and only lost a little skin off my knuckle. Whoever designed this should be absolutely disgusted with themselves. Its like they mass produced the prototype instead of the production version!
What is the name of the front suspension? Dubbel wish bone?
This is just very aggressive defending but when he starts to pinch you in the wall, that’s when it gets illegal.
Great Video! Helped a lot
Glad it helped!
For the rear seats, do I reconnect the connectors after re connecting the battery
Before!
Volvo enthusiasts are built different. I work with one and he's as mad as a box of frogs!
Nice one chuck now theyv stopped doing it. Was doing this years ago now its on youtube theyv stopped
thanks your video helped me.
You're welcome!
Thank you for your advice. Best regards.
You are welcome!
I don't suppose you know if this would be the same for the volvo s60 2001?
It should be as far as as I know 👍
1:13 hahaha I've had enough of this
Bloody hell dude don't you ever clean that poor car
Bought it like that tbh
A very useful video! I have to follow all the same steps, and you showed me how to do it well! Thanks a lot!
You’re very welcome, thank you for the feedback and good luck with your job! 🙏
Hi just a quick Q. Is the whole of the front on the car raised on jack stands or just one side? Just wondering if it's possible to turn the steering wheel if just one side is raised, cheers
You can do one side at a time and yes you can turn the steering wheel with one side on the ground 👍
I've just been told by a garage that this is a huge expensive job. Pththththt. How do I tell them they're a bunch of f*cking liars nicely? 😅
Get a quote in writing then name and shame them. Too much ripping off going on in garages, they need exposing!
@@IAMASPANNER THing is they don't care. I went to a main dealer about my head unit failure (reboot loop). They said £1,000, fitted, for a new unit. I bought a second-hand one on EBay for £53 and fitted it myself in less than 10 minutes. I told them what I thougth of them. They simply do not care.
Hi mate i have an a4 with the same engine as yours was you experiencing a ticking noise more noticeable on cold starts prior to the works ?
Mine wasn’t very noisy to be honest hence they often get left for a long time before being fixed. It’d be more like a chuffing noise and I’d expect it to be worse when warmed up. Ticking or rattling that’s worse on startup tends to be timing chain related in my experience but as always it’s very hard to diagnose a car without seeing or hearing it.
@@IAMASPANNER thank you for reply i have found other videos with the same noise as mine and they all replace the copper washers and no more noise i have also had a reputable mechanic have a listen and he has ruled out the hydraulic lifters and timing chain so i am stumped for the moment
Thank you so much for the details. this helped me fix my wife's fiat. I will say the only difference I had was the plastic interior removal had two Philips Screws that needed removed. Easy to find, they were behind two cosmetic flat caps on the side.
You’re very welcome and glad the video helped!
Thanks for posting this one. Just replaced a broken interior door opening connector rod on the wife’s car without breaking anything in the process. Thanks again.
You’re welcome, thank you for the comment 👍
Is it really necessary to replace the fuel filter? If so, how often it should be replaced?
It’s definitely necessary and service intervals for fuel filters tend to be around every 40k miles (off the top of my head)
@@IAMASPANNER thank you so much for responding! Despite the video being up for a long time
Hello, I want to replace the passenger seat in my Polo 6R Comfortline 4 cylinder 1.4 85 hp from 2010 with a seat that can be folded completely flat. This while retaining the airbag function and the same plugs under the seat. Does anyone know which (VW) seats are suitable for this? Volkswagen seats from later Polo versions or other Volkswagen or non-Volkswagen seats? Any useful information regarding this subject is welcome. Harry
Great guide thanks ❤
Thanks for the comment! 👍
Done on my Volvo XC70 P2 2006 Back engine mount it was a pain, on the end I cut the top bolt couple mm to be able to go in. I lift the engine maximum as possible but I think the aftermarket engine mount it was a bit bigger. Everything done on maximum 8 hours with no experience before. Many thanks! John
Well done John and thank you for sharing your experience. All the best 👍
I can confirm too that the front subframe bushing with oval inner ring had been discontinued. However, I got all 4 front subframe bushing with white plastic (part no. 3507923) from a Volvo dealer. In addition, they suggested that I added the S80 front subframe O-ring (part no. 8638585) to the installation too. Upon checking Matthewsvolvosite I learned that the objective is to reduce the chunk harshness. Somehow, I did not get the front subframe bushing with blue plastic (part no. 8678497) from the Volvo dealer as in the video. Many thanks for sharing your works. Really appreciate.
Thank you good sir.
You’re very welcome 👍
A great informative video, thankyou. I took one look at mine, saw the maze of wires on the front and thought no way but your video made it look a lot less overwhelming. What size/length of extension bar did you use for undoing the side clamp and the rear battery terminal please?
Thank you for the feedback and I’m so glad to help 👍 I think the extension would be around 8-10”
So I just did this job on my 05 xc90. I replaced the front right mount first (near the crank pulley). When I had the jack up the motor to replace the rear pad (which was a PITA), I ended up damaging the new front mount in the process. Recommend doing that mount after doing the pads.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I’d leave the top nut loose on the front mount until the rear was done although I am surprised to hear it would damage it unless it was jacked up quite a lot.
@@IAMASPANNER actually. You’re right. It didn’t damage it. I thought that cause the suv had a weird fast shake at idle. I pulled the mount just yesterday and it was fine. Now I have to hunt for the issue. I tell ya, I’m done with European cars. Japanese only from here on in. The xc90 fights me on everything. Pretty over it
Looks like really good design
Thanks boss for the useful information. All best
Glad to help! 👍
And what about the microfilter if your changing that???
Does this work on a 2014 grand coupe? With the reset

Been looking for a video like this (Simple and straightforward) even mentioning the type of bulbs to be used. Thank you, much appreciated 🙏
So glad to help and thank you very much for the feedback 👍
Wym, racing is a contact sport. Raise hell praise Dale!
Very helpful, good video
Is there any way of changing the fog lights/low beams without taking off the front bumper ?
Do I need to do coding?
Plug and play, no coding required for the screen.
Have changed ALOT of these coolers at work. Removing the subframe is fairly easy if you have the car on a lift, i always do this to get more space. Also removing the DPF completely and you have more or less free access to the cooler unless its a four wheel drive. Changing the EGR on front wheel drive is alot easier than four wheel drive models due to space.
Nice work there mate. Great video by giving me a perspective on my issue. Much appreciated. I am curious to know why exactly did you changed that part? Was it because the tire is getting worn out from the side? I have an issue with my volvo s60 2004. The steering does not come back to the center smoothly after turning. I changed both top strut mounts but the issue remains. I am afraid maybe the complete steering column is faulty which is causing this issue. My mechanic is ripping me off by failing to identify the issue and keeps on changing other parts like strut mounts and tie rods but the issue remains. The steering does not return to the center after turning. Also how did you identify the exact part number of UJ ?
Thank you very much! The steering becomes notchy when the UJ is damaged and will stick incrementally. If you buy the part direct from Volvo they can find the correct part number using the vin or you can use VIDA. Otherwise you just need to identify which of the 2 power steering variations are used and you can see this by the unions on the rack and pump.
How long spring did you use
Idler pulley 20Nm + 1/4 turn Tensioner 50Nm + 1/2 turn
I feel yr pain, admire yr patience I would have t-boned his ass ages ago😂
Chick hick
Shouldn’t the red transport plugs be removed. Great video!
Thanks just changed my light bulb with your help!
Glad I could help!
Hi did you have to adjust the hand brake after fitting new discs .
As the parking brake is drum in disc as long as there’s not a lip on the old drum (and you don’t have to slacken it off to remove it) you should be able to get away without any adjustment.
Guy in the yellow helmet is not only god awful at racing but a moron too
Great video, thank you. Now I need to do my sons?
